This multimedia presentation, titled "My World In Black and White," was the keynote address for the 2022 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Week at IWU. The theme for this year was "The Urgency of Now." In his opening remarks, Coach Shumacher states, "This is a photo of my siblings a year and a half before my birth. Six weeks later, on Feb 10, 1966, my father’s 39th birthday, Dr. Martin Luther King spoke on this campus for the second time....In sharing my story, I am part of the urgency of now. I am continuing what my parents started long ago - the fight for peace, equity, and justice."
