Publication Date

October 2013

Abstract

I will discuss past study-abroad research that has used social network analysis to account for (or not) linguistic development while in a semester abroad program. I will focus on the measurement instruments used along with the difficulties associated with this type of research. The paper will conclude with suggestions for ways that research could be improved.
