Second-place winner of the Fall 2009 Study Abroad Photo contest.
This photo was taken at the Muslim Damba Festival in Tamale, in the Northern region of Ghana. The festival was so chaotic and people were celebrating everywhere. I wanted to take so many pictures, but the second I would whip out my camera to take something in particular, 10 little kids would jump in front of my camera asking me to take their picture. I saw these two little girls and asked if I could take their picture, and unlike the rest of the kids, these two, as you can see from their faces, were less than excited, and confused as to why I would want to take their picture.
