Description

Based on the film Fame, the musical also follows a group of students at New York City’s renowned High School for the Performing Arts. Created by David De Silva, with music by Steve Margoshes, and lyrics by Jacques Levy, the Illinois Wesleyan University School of Theatre Arts production was directed by Associate Professor of Theatre Jean Kerr, with musical direction by Natalie Pitchford and choreography by Sheri Marley.

The cast for this production included Chris Long ’16 (Mr. Myers); Conor Finnerty-Esmonde ’17, (Nick); Emily Hardesty ’18, (Serena); Jeffrey Keller ’18, (Joe); Erica Werner ’16, (Ms. Bell); Evan Dolan ’16, (Jack); and Juna Shai ’18, (Carmen); Haley Miller ’17, (Mabel); Jessica Smith ’17, (Iris); Timothy Foszcz ’18, (Mr. Scheinkopf); Steven Shur ’17, (Schlomo); LeeAnna Studt ’17, (Lambchops); Holden Ginn ’18, (Goody); and Jenia Head ’17, (Ms. Sherman). The ensemble includes Kenny Tran ’17, Trev Gabel ’17, Kelsey Bearman ’16, Dana Clouser ’18, Cadence Lamb ’18, and Julia Cicchino ’16. Connor Speck ’17, served as lead costume design.
