Professor Michael Seeborg, Illinois Wesleyan University

Professor Seeborg (Ph.D., University of Utah) is the Robert S. Eckley Distinguished Professor of Economics. His SelectedWorks page lists his publications and provides his philosophy of teaching. He is a long-time advocate for undergraduate research, and is the advisor to the Undergraduate Economic Review.

Professor Emeritus Lon Carlson, Illinois State University

Professor Carlson (Ph.D., University of Illinois) served the Department as Undergraduate Program Director and taught courses in environmental economics, law and economics, and principles of economics. His research on environmental economics and economics education has appeared in several outlets including Natural Resources Journal and the Journal of Economic Education. He also held positions at Argonne National Laboratory and the U.S. General Accounting Office, and has worked as a consultant for a number of government agencies.
