The Women's Studies Minor was added to the IWU curriculum in Fall 1993 with 16 students enrolled and 19 courses available. The Women's Studies Honor Society Iota Iota Iota (Tri-Iota) was inaugurated in 2001 with 13 members inducted. In October 2003 the faculty voted to support a Women's Studies Major. Forty-one courses were available for credit in the program.
