Description
On January 26, 2002 a sprinkler system malfunction on the fourth floor of Ames Library caused an estimated 9,000 gallons of water to flood the third and fourth floors. 21,000 pieces of material were water damaged, and many of these were packaged and shipped off to be freeze dryed.
