Lydia True Franz '44 of Barrington, the Distinguished Alumnus recipient, was named 1988 Realtor of the Year by the Illinois Association of Realtors and currently serves on the board of directors of the National Association of Realtors. She has been past president and chair of all major committees of the Barrington Board of Realtors, which named her its Realtor of the Year in 1981. Mrs. Franz also holds the Award of Merit given by the Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce and is past president and a member of its board. She is a member of the Barrington Downtown Development Committee, a director of Clyde Federal Savings and Loan Association, past president of the Illinois Association of Realtors and served as governor of the Realtors Institute.
