As clinical supervisor for the psychiatric unit of Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston, Ms. Zander's responsibilities are divided between organized development Iin the department of nursing and her work as nurse-leader in psychiatry for in-patient and day hospital service. She is a preceptor for graduate students in administration and the psychiatric-mental health programs of Boston University's School of Nursing, has a private practice in psychotherapy and is involved with committee work on issues related to the nursing profession. Ms. Zander earned a masters degree in nursing at Boston University in 1974 and has published articles in nursing journals. Her first book, ''A Practical Manual for Patient Teaching," was published In 1978 and she is currently working on her second, "Managing Primary Nursing."
