Two visitors from Tanga town on the northern Tanzanian coast, take a stroll along the Lamu seafront as a crowd gathers for the annual donkey race. Each year, Swahili pilgrims from all along the coast of East Africa, and from as far away as the UAE and the Comoros Islands, join Lamu residents at the celebration of the Prophet Muhammad, known as ""Maulidi.""
