President Eric R. Jensen officially began his duties as the University’s 19th chief executive officer on November 1, 2015 and retired on May 31, 2019. This collection holds text and audiovisual records of his inauguration, public remarks and messages to the IWU community. Recordings of ceremonies he presided over are available through this repository's Events series. A native of Homewood, Ill., Jensen earned his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Michigan and a bachelor of business administration in economics from the University of Miami. Jensen served as Hamline’s provost from 2012 to 2015 and as professor of economics and public policy at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va. from 2004 to 2012, Jensen also served as director of William and Mary’s Thomas Jefferson Program in Public Policy.
