Abstract

Mabel Kinsela, a 1906 graduate of IWU's music program, is interviewed about her time at IWU. She speaks highly of Professor Skinner and also that she took lessons from Harry Flemming and Marian Ives. She also talks about some of Skinner's compositions and that she took voice lessons from Skinner's wife and Delmar Darrah, originator of the Passion Play. Kinsela observes that Skinner's wife talked him into leaving and that she didn't think he was happy about it. [Description based only on the first ten minutes.]
