This video was originally a silent 16mm film, just under 3 minutes in length. A recording Vice President Humphrey's speech was available on reel-to-reel tape. The video and audio are combined in the file embedded here; the brief film is on a continuous loop and the full recording plays for a duration of 00:56:25.

A program is available for download above and to the right; a flyer for the event is linked at the bottom of this page. Additional information, photographs, the original 16mm film and the unedited digital files created from the film and audio tape are available through Illinois Wesleyan University's Archives.

The occasion of this event is an annual lecture series named after Adlai E. Stevenson, whom Humphrey speaks of at the start of his remarks. This presentation took place on April 23, 1969 at IWU's Fred Young Fieldhouse.
