Course Catalog Description

This course is intended to provide students with an understanding of data analytic thinking and terminology, as well as hands-on experience with data analytics tools and techniques. Students will be introduced to different data types and analysis techniques utilized in accounting. Students will develop skills,utilizing different software tools, to analyze accounting and business problems and to communicate results and solutions to management. The focus of this class is on concepts, not algorithms, or statistical math. Offered each spring.
