Abstract

Higher education is facing increasing costs and decreasing enrollment. Colleges and universities that practice entrepreneurialism by developing business and industrial partnerships can boost enrollment and revenue. The challenge for higher education is to be responsive to these partnerships without turning into a “corporate university.” Kris will share the results of a three-year study on the ways in which entrepreneurialism can build and sustain these partnerships while maintaining the academic rigor that is key to the Illinois Wesleyan experience.
