Abstract

Created for the Ames Library 10^th Anniversary Reception on April 18^th, 2012, this presentation contains a history and description of the collection of books housed in the Bates-Merwin Reading Room. The first of several events celebrating the 10^th anniversary of the Ames Library, the reception was held in the Bates-Merwin Reading Room, named for longtime trustees and benefactors Davis U. Merwin and Rex James Bates.
