Abstract
This is an image of an installation containing the culmination of the artist's BFA program. It is installed on the two northwest walls in The Ames Library. The artist's statement reads, "As a global pandemic shifts our perception of the modern workplace, many are forced to reexamine the relationship between the personal and the professional. The Corner Office is a study in the new needs of young creatives working from home under economic and space constraints. The installation explores sustainable, functional, affordable, and expressive solutions to the current environment and our future needs." A video of the artist explaining the work is available at https://digitalcommons.iwu.edu/jwprc/2021/schedule/1

Comments
This installation was selected as a complementary addition to The Ames Library's Student Art Purchase award in recognition of its relevance to memorializing Illinois Wesleyan Students' pandemic experiences. The library's art selection committee was unable to purchase a student work in Spring 2020 and viewed this installation during the 2021 BFA Senior Art Show. Toto received a commission to install the work in May 2021.
