Abstract
This presentation will discuss the catalyst, development and implementation of The Ames Library's institutional repository and records management programs after strategic planning in the library. The presenters will share their perspectives on the advantage of the parallel programs, and comment on the strengths, knowledge and work style each person brings to the table to make the partnership and programs work. Interwoven throughout the presentation will be examples of how "collisions" were navigated for specific collections. Both librarians will also provide their best practices for outreach and education to campus leaders, offices and departments to create buy-in, commitment to and excitement about their programs.
