Award Description
Mr. Hinshaw was a chemistry major at Wesleyan, continuing his work in this field at the University of Illinois. Following his graduate work, he taught chemistry in the Pontiac, Illinois, high school. Hethen went to the Goodyear company as a chemist. He advanced steadily in the company until he assumed his present position. His special work is the erection and supervision of all foreign plants for Goodyear. He has been responsible for the building of million dollar plants in such places as Belgium, Mexico, Cuba, and a number of South American countries. He is married to the former Hazel Phares of Bloomington. They have one son, and their home is in Akron, Ohio.
