Award Description
Mrs. Ramos, motivated by a learning problem of one of her children, began a volunteer career in the diagnosis and treatment of neurologically handicapped children and adolescents. Her volunteer work as speaker, author, film producer and educator led to her election as president of the California Association for Neurologically Handicapped Children and an invitation to a White House seminar.
