Elisabeth Stubblefield, Class of 1936, was recognized officially for the honor which she has brought to the University through her "distinguished career as a public school and college teacher, a university admissions counselor, a leader in church and cultural activities, a public officer and forth-right citizen, and for dedicated service on behalf of her alma mater."
