Award Description
A December 2002 IWU graduate with a B.S. in public accounting, Jim started his career at State Farm in the Investment Department. Jim’s work is focused on commercial real estate investments across the nation. He earned his M.B.A. from Illinois State University where he was named the Outstanding MBA Student. He has earned several professional designations, including Chartered Financial Analyst; Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter; Chartered Life Underwriter; Chartered Financial Consultant, and a Real Estate Certificate from the University of Wisconsin. Jim is passionate about helping his community. He and his wife Leslie have served in leadership capacities in their children’s school, and Jim coaches for numerous sports organizations in the community. He has served IWU in several ways, including Race Director of the Captain Ryan A. Beaupre ’95 Memorial Scholarship 5K Run/Walk, held at Homecoming weekend each year; President of the IWU McLean County Alumni Association; Executive Alumni Committee member; and discussion group leader of the IWU Summer Reading Program. Jim and Leslie are proud parents of future Titans: sons Avery and Cole and daughter Jade.
