Award Description
Since his graduation from IWU in 1966, Larry displayed unwavering loyalty to IWU. He served as secretary of the Alumni Association Executive Board, president of the Champaign region, and class chair for the University’s Annual Fund. Larry hosted a number of IWU regional connections, served as class agent for the Annual Fund and served as past president and recording secretary for the Alumni Council. Larry worked as an independent insurance agent with Dimond Brothers Insurance Agency. He served as president of the Arcola Chamber of Commerce and the Douglas County United Way. He was past president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Illinois and vice president of the East Central Illinois Independent Insurance Agents. Two of Larry’s three daughters have graduated from IWU.
