Award Description
Ms. Dixon, a graduate of the School of Nursing, has combined multiple careers in nursing, education, publications and community and cultural service. She earned a master of education degree at Loyola University of Chicago; a master's degree in community health nursing at St. Xavier College and has done additional graduate work at Boston University. Her teaching career began at Wesley Passavant School of Nursing, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, where she taught medical-surgical and community health nursing. A member of more than a dozen professional, civic and cultural organizations in the Chicago area, she expects to continue these activities and her career in nursing education in Columbus, where she and her husband Carl '70, an attorney, and their two small daughters moved this summer.
