Course Catalog Description

Deep Learning refers to machine learning using large ("deep") neural networks, which have proven to be quite effective at a number of difficult machine learning tasks in recent years. Students will study the mathematics behind neural networks, the implementation of neural network optimization in Python, and a number of applications of deep learning including machine vision and natural language processing. Prerequisites: CS 128 and MATH/CS 136
