Abstract

This recording contains the rededication service for the "Frank and Alice Jordan Organ" in Evelyn Chapel, three years after the original dedication. From the program: "The initial dedication of the Casavant organ in Evelyn Chapel took place in November 1984, followed by a dedicatory recital by David Gehrenbeck. In October 1986 the Board of Trustees named the instrument in honor of its principal benefactors, Alice and Frank B. Jordan. Illinois Wesleyan University takes this opportunity to rededicate the chapel organ to the glory of God and the service humankind. The recitalist, Robert S. Baker '38, is a protégé of Frank B. Jordan '29."
