Description
Popol Vuh [Book of the People] tells the mythology and history of the Kʼicheʼ people, one of the Maya peoples, who inhabit the Guatemalan highlands, the South of Mexico, and areas of Belize.

About the Spanish language in Guatemala: the Guatemalan version of Spanish is spoken by 93% of the population. Besides Spanish, there are some 24 different indigenous languages spoken in Guatemala including K’iche’ spoken by approximately one million people in the Guatemalan highlands.
