Abstract
CBN et al recently published a paper modeling the heat capacity of a particular leuco dye using a statistical mechanics approach with tight binding theory. We were able to fit the data for one leuco dye assuming an energy parameter called xi had a specific magnitude in their relative abundance. We set out to find a theory that will accurately describe the physical properties of leuco dyes. The purpose of this work is to find the distribution of xi’s that fit particular data that can be generalized to be applicable to leuco dyes writ large as well as understanding the origins and nature of the xi term.
