Abstract

This interview was conducted on two days and the text and audio portions are joined here for ease of use. In the first part (lasting approx 45 minutes) Mr. Rhodes discusses growing up in the Bloomington-Normal area and so is able to offer stories about his experiences attending IWU events before and during his student days. He also includes recollections on classes, student activities and being a member of Phi Gamma Delta.

Rhodes was an Elementary Education major and after teaching for ten years, he returned to campus and worked in different capacities for the Development Office for 35 years. At the time of his retirement, Rhodes was the Associate Vice President of Advancement. In the second part of the interview, he discusses his experiences at IWU in this professional capacity.
