Policies for Tributaries

Submission Eligibility

Each semester, IWU students may submit up to five pieces of writing and/or artwork to iwutributaries@gmail.com. Quality, originality, and purpose are key factors when considering a piece for the book. We are inclusive and therefore accept submissions from all disciplines across campus; we pride ourselves on consistently showcasing the creative works from students of all majors and minors. Funded by Student Senate, Tributaries is free to all members of the IWU community. For more information, please contact iwutributaries@gmail.com or: Tributaries English Department Illinois Wesleyan University Bloomington, IL 61701

General Submission Rules

Submitted articles cannot have been previously published, nor be forthcoming in an archival journal or book (print or electronic). Please note: "publication" in a working-paper series does not constitute prior publication. In addition, by submitting material to Tributaries, the author is stipulating that the material is not currently under review at another journal (electronic or print) and that he or she will not submit the material to another journal (electronic or print) until the completion of the editorial decision process at Tributaries. If you have concerns about the submission terms for Tributaries, please contact the editors.
