In celebration of World Poetry Day, the IWU Greek & Roman Studies department organized a marathon reading of Homer's The Odyssey, held in the Ames Library. The Minor Myers statue outside of the library was decorated in honor of the event.

Music Professor Tom Streeter leads trombone students in rehearsal for the upcoming trombone choir concert to celebrate his retirement.
Professor Streeter, who founded the Illinois Wesleyan Jazz Program over 40 years ago, retired in May 2011.
