Illinois Wesleyan University Distinguished Alumnus Bob Page '79 presented a "Back to College" class at Homecoming on Oct. 11, 2013.

Abstract

In the late 1990s, the future of The University of Kansas Hospital was bleak after many years of lackluster performance with the potential of staggering financial losses. This presentation shares lessons learned during the hospital's journey to benchmark results for key performance indicators, addressing the critical role of leaders both in achieving transformational change and in sustaining a high-performance culture. This story is meant to define personal actions necessary for a leader in today's economy.
