Abstract
Despite the reelection of Barack Obama and the successes of the Civil Rights Movement, racial inequality in the U.S. is deep and persistent. How do we understand the ways that race continues to matter, especially given the social pressure to remain "colorblind"? This session uses contemporary examples to explore how racism operates in 2013.
