Award Description
John T. Dickinson received his Award Certificate from Herny Charles in front of a chart listing the objectives of the Twelfth Decade Advance. This was proper because in addition to his professional achievements and public service he headed the United Alumni Capital Campaign, a key effort of the second half of the University's development during this decade. His Award Certificate read - "John T. Dickinson, Class of 1934 - By these presents you know that you are the object of our esteem and that the Illinois Wesleyan University Alumni Association recorgnizes you officially for the honor which you have brought to the university through your distinguished career as a lwayer and insurance executive, aleader in public education activities, a veteran of World War II, a dedicated administrator of many welfare, civic, and business organizations, and a loyal and devoted servant on behalf of your alma mater."
