Abstract

The addition of spectroscopy and/or photometry to a telescope at our on-campus observatory at IWU would be useful not only for astronomy applications, but the process would also provide skill building for students interested in material science/engineering and many other applications. We would like to bring these concepts to the observatory to learn generic skills necessary for non-contact analysis and characterization, as well as methods for contributing to space exploration and technologies.
