Andrea K. Maushard-Clark, a 1989 IWU School of Nursing graduate (cum laude) is a pediatric nurse, who has practiced in Peoria and the Chicago area. Maushard-Clark also has worked in the Chicago Children's Hospital's Infectious Disease/Pediatric HIV Program and Northwestern Memorial Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Adult Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Before coming to Chicago, Maushard-Clark worked at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria in the Adult Neurology Intensive Care Unit. Donna Hartweg, director of the IWU School of Nursing, said, "Dr. Maushard-Clark is presented the award due to her activism to promote the pediatric nurse practitioner role at the University of Chicago and Chicago Children's Hospital."
