Description
Cheryl Crowley Schraeder earned her bachelor's of science in nursing from IWU in 1968 and taught at the school from 1973 to 1977. Since 1988, Schraeder has been head of the Health Systems Research Center at Carle Coordinated Care Services, LLC, in Urbana. In that role, she is the leader of outcomes, performance improvement, care management as well as serving as liaison with funding organizations, state and national congressional staffs and national nursing organizations. In 2000, she was named Illinois Nurse Leader of the Year and was honored as a fellow by the American Academy of Nursing. She has contributed to countless publications, including journals and books, and has been an assistant professor since 1984 at the College of Nursing at the University of Illinois at UrbanaChampaign. She is also an adjunct faculty member at the University's College of Medicine.
